The Banjo Killer

"I want it to be so loud that banjo players will cower." That's what the owner of this dreadnought asked for during the design process, This guitar was built to be loud, clear and commanding in any acoustic situation. The top is engleman spruce. The back and sides curly koa, a hawaiian wood similar in density to Cuban mahogany. The bridge and head stock veneer are a deep red cocobolo The top was sunburst using the alcohol dye method where the color is mixed right on the bare top wood. This technique produces a vibrant effect where the colors seamlessly melt into each other and the natural beauty of the wood grain is not obscured.

The Banjo Killer Dreadnought is available in slope or square shoulder patterns. Your choice of body woods and finish colors. Prices start at $1500.
